Middle/High School Staff

Born and raised in Sugar Notch, Mr. Lukachinsky is a 2011 graduate of Hanover Area High School. After high school, Mr. Lukachinsky attended Chestnut Hill College and was part of the men's soccer team. He then transferred and finished his undergraduate degree in mass communications at King's College where he was also a member of the wrestling team. After King’s Mr. Lukachinsky began as the head soccer coach at Hanover Area High School while completing his post-baccalaureate teaching certificate from Keystone College. He was then hired by Bloomsburg area school district where he taught social studies and English for the middle and high school, and was the 6th and 7th grade teacher leader. He served as assistant boys and girls soccer coach and was an assistant coach of the 2020 girls state championship soccer team. He also served as head wrestling coach at Bloomsburg High School for five years. He was then appointed behavior coordinator at Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary School. Mr. Lukachinsky continued into his graduate education at Bloomsburg University where he obtained his master’s degree in educational leadership with a k–12 principal certification in May of 2023. In October of 2023, Mr. Lukachinsky was hired as the assistant principal at Northwest Area School District.

Mr. Miner was born and raised in Hunlock Creek and is a proud 1997 graduate of Northwest Area High School. After high school, he attended Penn State Wilkes-Barre for two years and then transferred to Bloomsburg University where he earned a degree in secondary education—mathematics. Mr. Miner was hired to teach high school mathematics by the Hanover Area School District in 2003. He spent two years at Hanover before returning to Northwest in 2005 to teach 9th grade algebra. Upon his return to Northwest, Mr. Miner enrolled in the master’s program at Wilkes University and received a master’s degree in education in 2008. Mr. Miner then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received a K–12 Principal Certification in 2010. Mr. Miner served as the dean of students from 2008 to 2010 and became our high school principal in 2010.
